Anambra’s major opposition party Collapse Structure In Support of Soludo
By Izuchukwu Adichie
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra has made a significant decision by collapsing its structure into the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in a show of support for Governor Soludo. This move indicates the party’s commitment to collaborate effectively and work cohesively towards delivering more good governance in the state as well as the re-election of Soludo, should he choose to pursue a second term in office.
At the Women Development Center, Awka, where the leaders, executives, and members of the PDP were received by Soludo, the PDP acknowledged that the Anambra state government, under the administration of Soludo, has ushered in an era of unprecedented progress characterized by inclusivity, transparency (open governance), and effective governance, marking a significant departure from the past.
The decision made by the PDP to collapse its structure into APGA was not unexpected by Ndi Anambra. High Chief Jude Osude Anagor, the Director of all PDP structures in Anambra, Dr. Arinze Alphonsus Anagu, High Chief Jude Osude, Prof Rose Nwankwo were clear in expressing their belief that Governor Soludo’s achievements in two years in office without borrowing a kobo, and his recent awards such as being named the 2023 Best Governor of the Year on Infrastructure and Rural Development, as well as the 2024 Democracy Governor, has humbled members of the opposition within the state.
This demonstrates effective governance and has garnered respect from opposition parties. It is widely acknowledged that Soludo’s government is leading Anambra towards a prosperous homeland, and there is no opposition in the state.
