Njoku’s Supreme Court Appeal; A Futile Journey, an Exposition of His Treachery

BY IZUCHUKWU Adichie

After a theatrical display of ‘gwo gwo gwo ngwo’ dance outside the court premise where he deceived his gullible followers, Edozie Njoku and his co-travellers in their usual desperate and treacherous manner, have taken their case to the Supreme Court, challenging the recent ruling by the Appeal Court in Abuja that boldly declared Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, as the legitimate National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). This move follows the grant of “Leave of Court” to challenge Njoku’s illegitimate recognition by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after he blackmailed and deceived the electoral body.

Njoku’s actions have been deemed ironic -laughable, as he has now turned to the same Supreme Court that his faction blackmailed and criticized in the past. The Apex Court previously affirmed that Njoku, Chekwas, and their co-travellers were meddlesome interlopers in the affairs of APGA, as they are no longer members of APGA with the 2009 judgement upholding their suspension. Additionally, the Court discredited the notion of an Owerri Convention in 2019 and stressed that clerical errors had not altered their decision in favour of the Kano Appeal Court’s ruling in favour of Victor Oye in 2021.

N’jokers don’t know that the theatrical display of ‘gwo gwo gwo ngwo’ is a dance of the people whose closets are dirt-free. He allowed treachery and transactional politics to land a hammer of justice on his head. His recourse to the Supreme Court, an entity he had relentlessly maligned and blackmailed, will irreparably bury his dwindled political career. This serves as a salient reminder that this game is for humble people; the game is for those who believe in the people; and in this game, the legitimacy is rooted in the will of the people, and not self-serving manoeuvring and illegitimacy.
