The Obi jackson Foundation in collaboration with the Obi jackson Hospital are currently undertaking a medical outreach for all Police officers in Anambra State Police Command. This was necessitated by the increasing number of sudden death amongst police officers in the state. Over the past week, our medical team comprising of Doctors, Nurses and Health Assistants have been visiting various police stations in Anambra state from Nnewi to Ihiala and Okija commands. In addition to counselling services and primary medical care, we carry out the following tests on all the officers – Blood pressure measurement,
– Blood sugar measurement,
– HIV screening
– Hepatitis B screening.
This exercise has helped identify officers that need immediate referral for their ailments and will help ensure Anambra state police officers discharge their duties in good health.
