Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo has said his decision to run for the November 6th Anambra governorship election is hinged on the demand of the overwhelming majority of the people of the Anambra state
He also stated that his governorship bid is fully on course. He affirmed his belief in the Nigerian Judiciary to do the needful by ensuring justice prevailed at the end of the day, He was reacting to a number of questions on “Politics Today”- a political programme anchored by Seun Okinbaloye on Channels Tv on Monday 19, 2021 as a guest.
Soludo also gave a brief background of the court cases affecting APGA, reaffirming that Dr Victor Ike Oye remains the national chairman while Governor Willie Obiano is national leader/BOT of the party
He stated that the Federal High Court ruling in Awka earlier today reaffirming Dr Victor Oye as the indisputable APGA chairman and also directing INEC to immediately publish his name as the legally and validly elected gubernatorial candidate of APGA is the beginning of the process of appealing the Jigawa court judgment which INEC based its action for not publishing his name
Soludo said he is surprised but entirely not too surprised on the obnoxious judgment from Jigawa adding that every election season in Anambra state is always preceded by court cases and counter court cases, He reaffirmed his ultimate belief in God, stressing that the people of Anambra state are fully behind his governorship project who will ultimately decide who becomes their governor.
