The onitsha end of the niger bridge witnessed a heavy gridlock in the early hours of the day at around 5am to 6am which stopped travelers who are going outside Anambra or coming to be held at standstill for very long hours without movement.

Our sources gathered that the cause of the protest staged by the union of lorry and truck drivers whom their member lost his life,the deceased they say was struggling with a member of task force on vehicle emblem while his vehicle was in motion which made me lose control of the vehicle,crashed and lost his life instantly,this protest is in disgust to the life of their member that was lost and the ill treatment they get from the task force members.

This gridlock lasted untill about midday untill it was opened up,the state government is advised to curtail the actions of the task force members because they are beginning to constitute nuisance to the society rather than working for the government as they are mandated.
