The South East Governors have banned open grazing by cattles in the region, this was made known by the Governor of Ebonyi State Engr. David Umahi, this announcement was made at the APC stakeholders meeting which held at the Christian Ecumenical Centre Abakaliki
The Governor also said that the movement of cattles by foot into the zone is also banned if his statement ” we live in a dangerous time, without patriotism to our nation Nigeria, it is very difficult to have peace”, he went further to say that the leaders of the zone should desist from playing politics with the security of lives and properties in the zone.
The Chairman of the Forum of the South East Governors went further to say that people should not instigate violence in the region by circulation of fake videos that portrays violence. He also announced his support for the flushing out of criminals who have be ravaging our forests.
