Chioma Isabella Ajana a 100 level student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK),Awka on Wednesday morning lost her life as a result of the high handedness of the management of the hostel she stays in.
She and her roommates mistakenly lost the key of their room at Elmada Hostel were they were staying, the management of the hostel charged them ₦120,000 in other for them to replace the key, an amount which is exorbitant and the students did not have at the time.
Sadly, their cry for leniency,mercy and sympathy to their hostel mistress was ignored and Chioma who was diabetic needed to take her insulin but could not as a result of not being able to access her belongings, she wasn’t able to take her drugs for three days and was sleeping elsewhere, unfortunately Chioma’s health deteriorating by the day and she collapsed on Sunday morning and was rushed to the hospital where she gave up on Wednesday morning
