Anambra Born Retired Air Vice Marshal Osita Obierika who hails from Enugwu Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area died aboard British Airways which was heading from London to Abuja on the 5th of October 2025.
Flight Departed London for Abuja by 11pm on Sunday was expected to land by 5am on Monday but was diverted to El Part Airport Barcelona Spain at about 1:30 am due to Medical Emergency which involved the Retired Air Vice Marshal who was confirmed dead upon landing.
He was a member of the NDA 1973 set and he had been battling illness abroad and was flying into Nigeria to continue his treatment for a yet to be known ailment.
