The Tale of Easter Celebration will not be over in Anambra without mentioning two headline shows which took place in two major towns in Anambra, Onitsha and Awka respectively.
Nigeria’s A list music acts and MC’s gathered in at the Onitsha mall on the 4th of April being Easter Sunday to put up one of the biggest shows the town has ever witnessed titled “DAVIDO LIVE IN ONITSHA”, This show had appearance from the headline man himself Davido, various acts like Phyno, Peruzzi, Dj Neptune, other appearances included Anambra State born Nollywood act zubby Micheal, Cubana Chief Priest and Anambra Based Comedian MC I GO TUK popularly called Ogbuefi Main Market, as seen in the video it was a sold out show and fans were seen mobbing up headliner Davido and One of their own Zubby Micheal.
A list comedian Funny bone now decided to take the capital city of Awka by storm in what he termed “FUNNY BONE UNTAMED HOMECOMING”., according to organizers of the show they said the “HOMECOMING” was attached to the titled because of the fact that the comedian is from Anambra and this is the first time the show is happening in Anambra, This event took place at the Stanel Dome in Awka and was filled with the finest of the comedy industry with musical appearances by Larry Gaga, Kcee, Umuobiligbo, Bracket, Mr Raw, Slow Dogg and DJ Neptune, special guest appearances were Zubby Micheal and Rachel Okonkwo popular know as “Nkolika Nwa Nsuka”.
This two headline shows will leave you wondering what is going on in Anambra as regards entertainment because prior to Covid-19 lockdown in early 2020, December 2019 was one to remember as different musical concert happened at various locations in Anambra.
This begs to ask the big question, IS ANAMBRA THE NEW ENTERTAINMENT CAPITAL OF THE SOUTH EAST ⁉️
