Despite the lockdown in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its bite on the economy Anambra State topped the other south eastern states in Internally Generated Revenue for year 2020 under review, this was made known by the statistics recently released by Nigeria Bureau of Statistics.
This recently released stats did not fail to come with a shocker as lagos state who topped the list with #418.98bn generated more money than 28 states outside the top 8 combined together who had a total sum of #416.02bn.
The entire nation generated 1.3 trillion and Lagos State alone generated #418.98 bn which represents 32.08% of the country’s IGR.
Anambra haven generated #28 billion came 10th nation wide on the log which placed it 1st in the South East, This is the 1st time the state is occupying its rightful place in the South East as regards IGR since the return of democracy, this is coming rightly as the state houses one of the biggest commercial activity in the country.
The big question is ;ARE WE DOING ENOUGH AND FAIRLY WELL⁉️
