The ruling party of Anambra State has cleared only 4 out of the 9 Aspirants who went through the screening process ahead of the party primaries for Anambra State Governorship Election.
The Result of the screening process was contained in an official memo of the party which was signed by the National Organizing Secretary of the party Bar Ifeanyi Mbaeri, it stated that out of the 9 Aspirants only 4 were cleared by the screening committee and they are as follows;
1. Okolo Damian Chibuzo
2. Soludo Charles Chukwuma
3. Ibeh ThankGod Kenechukwu
4. Ezenwankwo Okwudili Christopher.
According to the Memo the other Aspirants who weren’t cleared were for various which ranged from insubordination to party authority to length of time of membership in the party to voter registration being outside Anambra and nominators not reaching the spread required across the state.
The Aspirants whom failed to scale through the screening are as follows;
1. Ozoka Odera Ifeanyi
2. Okafor Nonso Smart
3. Nwankpo Akachukwu Sullivan
4. Umeoji Chukwuma Micheal
5. Umeoduagu Nnamdi Dike Cater.
The memo also stated that the National Working Committee which is the final power of the party has the power to veto the decision of the Screening Committee.
