The Anambra State Police Command has Addressed Anambrarians on the attack by unknown gunmen on the B Division Police station and INEC Office in Awka.
While Addressing men of the Press, The Police Commissioner CP Chris Owolabi state that gallant men of the police force intercepted the attackers and recovered 3 Toyota Hilux Vehicles, 8 sophisticated rifles amongst other weapons gotten from them.
The Commissioner did not ascertain the number of casualties and the number of arrests that were made but went further to say that investigation are in full gear and that the police is still combing and will make the outcome of the investigation known which will contain statistics of casualties and total number of arrests that was made, we keenly await the outcome of this investigation as this is the first time the attack of this sort has been stopped by the security agents after a series of them had happened.
