The Students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, (Unizik), Awka, Anambra State have commenced protest against the current ASUU strike.
Recall that few days ago, the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU have commenced a strike action against the Federal Government for failure to meet up with their demands thereby shutting down Federal Universities across the State.
Reacting to the strike action, The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) had instructed her members across the Country to initiate protest against the action.
Today, the Students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University have taken to the streets of Awka to register their displeasure against the ongoing strike which according to them, is seriously affecting their education.
Speaking with our correspondent, one of the protesters who identified himself as Emmanuel explained that the insistent strike action have kept him in school more than the supposed year he should have stayed. He called on the government to quickly intervane and permanently end the insistent strike as it is seriously affecting their education.
As at when filling this report, the students were at Aroma Fly Over, Awka and had blocked the road.
