Update on Anambra Airport

It is no longer news that the test Flight is expected to land at Anambra Airport Umueri on the 30th of April 2021 as announced by the state government but this did no come without knowing if the airport will be operating as just a local airport or as an international airport.

According to the statement released by the country’s Minister for Aviation Hadi Sirika, he said the Federal Government has denied the Anambra State Government the License to Operate an international airport due to security reasons, that the airport will just entertain only local flights for the time being, This is coming as a shocker because a lot of people from Anambra and the entire south eastern states were eagerly awaiting operation of international flights at the Anambra Airport which would have made traveling outside Nigeria less stressful for them and are now hoping for a reversal of this decision once security in the state improves.
