The Anambra State House of Assembly, has Summons the Honourable Commissioner For Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-udeh for clarifications on alleged disengagement of recruited PTA Teachers as well as reliability of procedures of the ongoing teachers’ recruitment exercise in the State
Prof Chuma-Uda was asked to appear at the next Plenary on Thursday 23 June, 2022 by 10am.
Speaking to House Assembly correspondents after plenary, member representing Aniocha 1 constituency Hon. Ebele Leonard Ejiofor said the honourable commissioner was summoned to defend the controversies surrounding the process of ongoing teachers recruitment and the utterances she made in the leaked conversations between her and one of applicants.
“We need to hear her own side of the story. She needs to explain what gave her the courage to insult a citizen of the state like that.
“As a public servant, she was supposed to comport herself very well regardless of the provocations.
“Those statements is not supposed to be coming from an office holder. If the recruitment process was well organized, there wouldn’t be all these issues.
“There where complains that the computers where faulty amongst other issues surrounding the recruitment. The House of Assembly will decide on the next move after hearing from her in two days time,” Ejiofor concluded.
