APGA NATIONAL CHAIRMAN HAILS GOVERNOR SOLUDO ON HISTORIC IMPLEMENTATION OF FREE EDUCATION IN ANAMBRA STATE
Abuja – The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, for implementing complete free education in Anambra State. This groundbreaking initiative, announced by the Governor today, extends free education from Primary 1 to Senior Secondary 3 (SS3) in all public schools, making Anambra the only state in Nigeria to provide free education up to SS3 without hidden charges.
Ezeokenwa described Governor Soludo as a “national asset” and praised him for transforming Anambra in just over two years. He noted that, alongside free education, Soludo has also achieved major strides in healthcare by offering free antenatal care, free child delivery—including cesarean sections—and free postnatal care in all public hospitals. These initiatives, according to Ezeokenwa, put Anambra at the forefront of prioritizing the well-being of its people.
Ezeokenwa further emphasized that Governor Soludo has successfully implemented the APGA manifesto and delivered on his campaign promises, proving that “this is what APGA government offers to the world—a governance model that delivers real, impactful results to the people.” He expressed delight with Governor Soludo’s assertion that he will begin to pay the new minimum wage of 70,000 naira next month, noting that Anambra will be among the first states to implement this new wage.
He also highlighted Governor Soludo’s achievements in infrastructure, citing over 500 km of roads constructed, erosion control, and urban renewal projects like “Awka 2.0” and “Onitsha 2.0.” Ezeokenwa lauded the Governor’s focus on human capital development through the “1 Youth, 2 Skills” initiative and the recruitment of over 10,000 teachers, all of which have improved the quality of education in the state.
The APGA National Chairman praised Soludo’s commitment to security, which has led to the reclamation of local governments from criminal elements, ensuring a safer environment for development. He remarked, “Governor Soludo’s policies in education, healthcare, and infrastructure set a new standard for governance, making him a source of pride for APGA and the entire nation.”
Ezeokenwa expressed confidence that Governor Soludo’s vision for Anambra is setting a new standard for governance in Africa, making him a source of pride not only for APGA but also for Nigeria as a whole.
