The Anambra Cargo and Passenger International Airport which is located at Umueri is fast becoming a reality as the project has started getting to its completion stage as it has started getting positive remarks from Aviation Authorities over the last couple of days.
Yesterday the project site was visited by the National Assembly Joint Committee on Aviation Led by Sen. Smart Adeyemi which also had in attendance Sen. Uche Ekwunife, Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah, Hon. Nnolim Nnaji and Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, on arrival they were received by the State Governor and His Wife, They ascertained that the level of work on site has gone far and its advanced stages, the committee said they will assist in whatever way they can to make the airport functional upon completion.
Similarly The National Civil Aviation Authority headed by Captain Nuhu Musa visited the airport site during the week on inspection to ascertain if it meets the international standard to allow for smooth aviation activities upon completion, while he was speaking after the inspection he noted that the airport actually meets the required standard and can house Aviation activities upon completion.
With the reaction gotten from this two groups after the inspection it is really not out of order that this airport project is actually a reality
