Three Siblings Found Dead in Deep Freezer In Nnewi,Anambra State
A horrific incident has shaken the Nnewichi community in Nnewi, Anambra State, as three young siblings—9-year-old Ejezie Chikaima Daviana, 7-year-old Ejezie Chimziterem Dominica, and 5-year-old Ejezie Chimdilim David—were brutally murdered and their bodies discovered inside a deep freezer in their home.
The children were at home when their mother, Mrs. Chikazor Ejezie, a nurse and lecturer, left to take an examination. Upon her return, she noticed the front door unusually wide open, which was strange since the children typically locked up before going out to play.
Her search for the children, alongside neighbors, led to a heartbreaking discovery—their lifeless bodies inside the deep freezer. According to the children’s father, Mr. Ejezie Udochukwu, who resides in Irrua, Edo State, his wife had initially searched for them in the house, nearby church, and surroundings before making the shocking find. Evidence at the scene suggested they had been eating before the attackers struck, as plates of food were found abruptly abandoned.
The devastated father stated that the matter was reported to the Central Police Station (CPS) in Nnewi, and the children’s bodies have been deposited in a morgue. The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident, revealing that the Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Itam, has ordered a full investigation. The case has now been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka for further inquiry.
