32 years of Anambra, 32 years of excellence
By Izuchukwu Adichie
It has been 32 years of excellence since the creation of the New Anambra state 32 years ago. It is a fact that past and present Ndi Anambra have been the building blocks of our dreams. Our governors both past and present have made bold footprints in upholding the traditional excellence known to our people and the current administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo has continued the transformational landmarks paved in five pillars.
At 32, Anambra under Soludo is on an irreversible march to greatness, with impressive efforts for a greater repositioning of the state through delivering long-standing infrastructures, and institutions that will outlive this generation, his aura and momentum have seen development and good governance penetrate all the nooks and crannies of our state.
Ours is a State that all could look forward with hope to the liveable and prosperous homeland, although it has been 32 years without a proper government house and a Governor’s lodge – possibly the only state with such a record, Soludo administration has started the construction of a befitting place in Awka, the state capital and has assured of delivering at a record time.
As we mark Anambra at 32, I want to commend the efforts of all our people, all segments -who have remained resolute in their commitment to ‘Project Anambra’ and making sure the state becomes the destination lounge for investment, technology, infrastructure, tourism, and hospitality and good governance in Africa.
