The Anambra State Fire Service today received a distress call from the Anambra State Ministry of Works in Awka about a fire out break in its premises located on Works Roads Awka.
This call came at about 12:08pm and was meet with an immediate response from the fire service, according to the sources in the ministry the fire emanated from outside but entered the premises through the thick bush in the compound where a lot of unserviceable vehicles are packed.
The fire service arrived right on time to manage the situation and avoided a disaster the would have happened in the premises of the ministry if the didn’t intervene.
The Anambra State Fire Service Chief, Engr. Martin Agbili was on ground at the scene and advised that the bushes in the premises as this is a season where fire outbreak can easily happen.
