Former Senator Of Anambra Central Senatorial Zone Annie Okonkwo Joins His Ancestors

Senator Annie Okonkwo, a former senator who represented Anambra South Senatorial District, is dead.

He died yesterday after managing a terminal illness.

At the twilight of his life, Annie Okonkwo spent his last days abroad treating an unnamed sickness suspected to be cancer.

An iroko and a colossus

He used to run Zoom mobile, a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) telecom business which later closed shop in 2012 because of intense competition and onslaught from GSM operators.
