Nigeria Correctional Service Anambra State Command has revealed the identity of the Ekwulobia Prison inmate freed by suspected gunmen after the attack on its officers on their way back from court in Nanka.
This was made known through a press release by the command’s public relations officer DSC Francis Ekezie who gave the inmate’s name as CHIDI NWANKWO.
As the press statement reads
“He was forcefully released after killing of the officers escorting him whom one of the is a police officer,Below are his details

The inmate was accused of assisting his brother,Anayo Nwankwo who is being tried of arson to escape, which brought about his arrest and subsequently freed by unknown gunmen on Friday.
The Anambra State Command of Nigeria Correctional Service has placed a cash prize of N200,000 for any useful information leading to his recapture.
