People’s Democratic Party PDP has gone on with the Governorship Primaries scheduled to hold in Awka today 26th June 2021 despite the court order obtained by one of its Factional chairman in Anambra State in the person of Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu.
This order was gotten from the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja in a suit filled by Akaeze Ugochukwu Vincent who is claiming to be the Youth Leader who emerged from the congress which held on the 4th of December 2017.
The faction of Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu has obtained an order of the FCT high court Abuja which nullified the list the Super delegates released by the NWC of PDP.
According to the court order, the court restrained PDP from conducting the governorship primaries today with the Super delegates list.
The court ordered that PDP must conduct her governorship primary election with the list of statutory delegates contained in exhibit 3 produced from the wards, LGAs and state executive committees elected at the congress held on November 25, 2017, December 1 and December 4, 2017.
The court gave a perpetual injunction restraining PDP from using any other statutory delegate list to conduct the governorship primaries other than the one contained in exhibit 3.
It equally restricted PDP from acting on any other list from anyone else other than the one contained in the order.
Finally, the order reinstated the judgement which recognized Ndubuisi Nwobu as the state chairman of PDP.
