ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT SET TO ARRAIGN DETAINED NATIVE DOCTOR
The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to restoring sanity and tackling crime in the state. Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, announced that native doctors currently in custody will soon be arraigned in court after investigations are concluded.
Speaking in Awka, Dr. Mefor emphasized that the Professor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration is determined to eliminate criminal activities, including those enabled by native doctors who prepare charms for criminals. He further clarified that the government is not against traditional worship, as some have misinterpreted, but is focused on enforcing the Anambra Homeland Security Law to ensure justice and security in the state.
If convicted, the suspects will face appropriate legal consequences under the new law.
