Young girls whom are students of Queen of the Rosary College, Onitsha has emerged winners of University of Delaware’s Global Prize Award.
The win came from seven students who defeated over 5000 other teams from other schools all around world to win the Prestigious Diamond Challenge Global Summit.
The students developed an app called “Queen Foris Labs” that is a virtual space that can allow students to conduct science experiments, these students are as follows Chisom Iwuno, Amara Okechukwu, Chidinma Okoye, Mmesoma Nnaji, Sandra Mgbafulu, Stephanie Anozie and Chinyere Iheator.
This team won a grand prize of $1500 and other prizes which include mentorship, Dyslexia Genius, a China – USA came second.
Queen of Rosary College team had already came first place beating 9 other teams to win the national championship that gave them the chance to represent the country at the global level, it is a thing of that the same school were champions at beyond school challenge in 2020, this was sponsored by US Embassy and organized by Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni Association Nigeria.
