An 11-year-old girl who identified herself as Chimuanya (surname withheld) has narrated her ordeal in the hands of her predator, one Odinaka, aged 30, from Awba-Ofemili in Awka-North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The girl said she was mercilessly defiled by her captor until her vagina bled profusely as the rapist beat her and warned her not to shout but to enjoy it as he exploited her sexually.
The 30-year-old Odinaka had spotted the poor little Chimuanya crying and wandering aimlessly and accosted her, demanding to know what was wrong with her.
Odinaka found out that the little girl had lost the N200 she was sent on an errand with. He therefore consoled the little girl and bought her food to eat after which he told Chimuanya to follow him to where he would give her the N200 she lost.
Odinaka therefore took the girl to an unknown destination where he forced his manhood into the little girl’s private part and menacingly penetrated into her until she could no longer walk with her legs and with blood stains on her pants and laps.
Corroborating the girl’s story, the aunt who sent her on an errand, said she gave her N200 to go and buy detergent around 8am but she became worried when Chimuanya did not return home until about 2pm.
The aunty said she could not recognize Chimuanya from the way she was walking when she eventually returned home from the errand she was sent hours earlier.
She said she became apprehensive when she saw bruises on Chimuanya’s body coupled with blood stains on her pants and thighs and demanded to know what happened to her.
She said it was Chimuanya’s report of her being raped by the 30-year-old Odinaka, that made her raise the alarm.
Meanwhile, the Chief Security Officer of Nkpor Community in Idemili-North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Chris Okey Udeze, who made the video of the incident available to this journalist, said the poor Chimuanya from investigations, was one of the unfortunate children being raised by a single mother.
Further investigations, according to him, revealed that Chimuanya’s mother abandoned her with her aunty and fled to Ghana where she now lives a reckless lifestyle.
Udeze also disclosed that Chimuanya’s aunty was reluctant to report the matter to the security but he personally decided that it would be reported to the authorities so that the poor little girl will get justice.
According to Udeze, the matter has been reported to the Ogidi Police Station and they would bear the cost of prosecution.
He also appealed to the Governor’s wife Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare to wade into the matter because little Chimuanya is malnourished and helpless
