The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), gubernatorial candidate, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo began his electioneering campaign for the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State on a grand note at the Anambra West and East local government areas respectively today, Tuesday, October 5, 2021
Cee Cee Soludo first port of call was the Anambra West local government with Governor Willie Obiano. Both were received by teeming party faithfuls and supporters numbering about 10,000.
The Transition Committee Chairman of the LG, Hon Sylvester Orji Okafor commended Governor Willie Obiano for his achievements in the State especially in the areas of human capital development and the ‘community choose your project scheme’ of his administration
He enumerated other litany of challenges facing the local government such the perennial flooding, bad roads and lack of industries.
Cee Cee Soludo promised to address the existential threats of flooding in the area and other issues raised by the TC chairman
The APGA gubernatorial candidate also spoke of developing agriculture in the area by facilitating the planting of one million palm seedlings annually over a period time. He further told the gathering that part of his agenda in his manifesto is to create at least 130,000 jobs for the youths annually and 1000 youth millionaires every year
He reminded the supporters that the symbol of the Igbo party has always been the Cock which is also the symbol of APGA. He enjoined them to come out enmasse and vote overwhelmingly for APGA and Soludo/Ibezim ticket in the November 6 governorship election.
Governor Willie Obiano expressed gratitude to the people of the local government for their support over the years. He assured them that Soludo will consolidate on his achievements and do exactly as he has promised to do for the people
The Director-General of the Campaign Council and Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu also called on the people to vote for APGA overwhelmingly on November 6, 2021.
Other speakers who spoke at the occasion, include, Hon Chinedu Obidigwe, member Representibg Anambra East and West Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives and Hon Bonaventure Enemali, Commissioner of land, both called on the voters to cast their vote for Soludo/Ibezim. The Commissioner of Land assured the gathering that the LGA will deliver all the ten wards to APGA.
The campaign train later moved to Anambra East local government area where they were received by over 20,000 enthusiastic supporters and the TC chairman, Hon (Barrister) Obi Nweke.
The TC chairman also commended Obiano for his outstanding performance in the state and urged Soludo to consolidate on it.
Cee Cee Soludo promised to address the challenges raised by the TC chairman and create jobs through a private sector led economy that will also impact positively on the overall well-being of the citizens
