The Independent National Electoral Commission has released statement stating that it will commence physical continuous voters registration in the 326 wards in Anambra, this was contained in a statement signed by the resident electoral commissioner in charge of the commission in Anambra State and the statement reads as follows

This is to inform the public that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will begin the Continuous Voter Registration exercise at all the 326 Wards in Anambra State beginning from Monday, 30 August 2021.
The address and location of the registration centre in each wards is published at the 21 LGA offices of INEC.
The exercise will end on Sunday, 5th September 2021.
The continuous voter registration (CVR) exercise is for the following categories of people:
1. New Registrants (that is, persons that are up to 18 years of age but who have not registered before)
2. Old registrants who have experienced any form of problem with accreditation in the past elections, such as failure to read their card, failed authentication process, fingerprint issues and when a voter has PVC but can’t find his or her name in the electoral Register
3. Old Registrants seeking transfer, collection of cards, correction of personal information etc.The Commission calls on eligible registrants to take advantage of this opportunity to register in order to participate in the November 6, 2021 governorship election.
Please note that in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act, the CVR exercise in Anambra State will be suspended on 6th September 2021.

This continuous voters registration is in view to capture voters who are eligible to participate in the forthcoming Governorship Election in the state which will take place on the November 6th 2021, this will capture people who became eligible to vote from the last time continuous voters registration took place which took place in 2018 and those who were eligible as at them but couldn’t register due to unforseen circumstances.
